What the Land Rover dashboard usually says
Exact wording varies by year and software — send us a photo.
- "AdBlue: Engine will not start in XXX miles"
- "Emission system fault"
- "AdBlue: Refill now" that stays on after filling
How the Land Rover AdBlue system works
Discovery, Range Rover, Sport, Velar, Evoque and Defender diesels use an AdBlue tank with pump and heater managed by the engine ECU, counting down to a no-start.
Land Rovers used for towing and short school runs both see AdBlue faults — for different reasons, which is why diagnosis matters.
Fault codes we commonly see on the Land Rover
- P20E8 — Pressure fault
- P20EE — SCR efficiency
- P203F — Level sensor
