What the Ducato dashboard usually says
Exact wording varies by year and software — send us a photo.
- "Engine start not possible in XXX km"
- "Check AdBlue system"
- AdBlue warning after the vehicle has stood unused
How the Ducato AdBlue system works
The MultiJet Ducato uses a heated tank pump, dosing injector and NOx sensors. Motorhomes and seasonal vehicles that stand for long periods often develop crystallisation and pump priming problems.
Talento vans are Renault Trafic-based and follow the Master/Trafic diagnostic path instead.
Fault codes we commonly see on the Ducato
- P20E8 — Pressure build fault
- P20EE — SCR efficiency
- P203F — Reductant level sensor
What we check on site
The technician confirms the right repair after checking the vehicle. Many faults are fixed on the spot; some need a part ordered. Mobile call-out from £150 minimum. Final cost depends on the vehicle, location, diagnosis and work required.
- Check AdBlue age and quality — old fluid in a stored motorhome is common
- Test pump priming and pressure
- Inspect and test the injector for crystal blockage
- Check level sensor readings against actual fill
